On behalf of the Board of Directors I would like to welcome you to Benzina Petroleum. During 2011 even with global economic crisis, the company again posted record production and operating results while continuing to sharpen its focus on growing a successful East and Central African energy enterprise. The company was incorporated in Uganda in 2003. Benzina Petroleum is a supplier of quality petroleum products with a distribution network covering Central and East Africa. Benzina was started to address the petroleum products sector in East and Central Africa. We are further committed to our customers bringing the products closer to them. Benzina (U) Ltd is committed to serving its vast number of customers. This is achieved through having in place a team of highly experienced experts that ensures high grade petroleum products which in turn guarantees value for money. The company complies with the stringent international safety transportation standards and requirements that guarantee that our customers get the best quality of petroleum products. This is ensured through a country wide network of depots and filling stations plus bulk procurement and efficient delivery of large quantities. The company oversees the whole process from refinery to pump. To satisfy our customers further, the company has come up with innovative techniques of storage of the products that ensures value for money. The company has worked on its growth as a business entity and development of the communities around. The communities have been empowered through creation of jobs within the company in which they are employed. Social amenities like water and electricity have been brought in the company’s area of operations thus benefiting the communities around. The company participates in various charitable activities globally. Although the company was initially incorporated in Uganda, it has grown to expand its operations in East and Central Africa and has also diversified its products to include Ago, petrol, lubricants and aviation fuel. The company has grown to become the biggest supplier of aviation fuel to the Juba International Airport in Southern Sudan. Multiple fuel acquisitions have been affected in order to grow the business, and we have requited many trucks to ensure delivery across the region. I also take this opportunity to thank the Management and Staff of Benzina for their tremendous effort to work toward increasing the production of oil, for their enthusiasm to lay the necessary infrastructures and operating systems for building this organization, while also maintaining a safe working environment for the employees & contractors.
